Inspiration – where I wasn’t looking for it - Devil wears Prada

Over the weekend the movie-hater in me took a slumber and I watched this movie “Devil wears Prada”. The haute couture was definitely a treat to the eyes of a fashionista like me. (And yes, I did indulge in sinful shopping right after the movie). The movie was somewhat cliché, yet hilarious, entertaining and also (and surprisingly) inspiring.

Allow me to elaborate on the ‘inspiring’ bit of it. Looking back at my life and my successes and failures, I realized the key to succeeding is to strong desire to succeed. The idea is to get into the core of the subject and be a part of it - own it - feel it. I simply cannot over-empathize that the passion is a pre-requisite for success. To be continued (hopefully)…

Andre Aggggggaaasssssiiiii!!

Among all the top-notch players like Jim Courier, Pete Samprass, Michael Chang, its Andre Agassi whose personality, style and game captured my heart the most. I always adored his love and devotion to Tennis. In his non-conformism and malleability on the top of his earthly limitations, there is something about Agassi that makes me relate to him. And it saddens me now that he is retiring from Tennis - my favorite sport since I was 10.
